Privacy Policy

Effective June 28, 2026

1. Overview

REPLAY is an online video editor and competitor tracker for action-shooting sports, operated by Hats Off Engineering LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“REPLAY”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the controls you have.

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and REPLAY does not show ads or use your data for advertising.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or an email magic link, we store your email address and, if provided, your display name and Google profile picture, so we can identify you in the app and send you account-related email.

Your content. The videos and files you upload (including optional music and second-camera “angle” files), the rendered videos REPLAY produces for you, your shot-review edits and Creator Studio projects, and the overlay themes and settings you choose.

Competition data. The PracticeScore profile you connect and the match results, scores, and competitor information REPLAY fetches on your behalf from publicly accessible PracticeScore endpoints.

Billing information. If you subscribe or buy credits, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details; we store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan and status, and your render-usage and credit counters. We never see or store your full card number.

Integrations. If you connect YouTube, we store the authorization tokens needed to upload videos to your YouTube account on your behalf, until you disconnect it.

Diagnostics and logs. At upload time we capture basic submission diagnostics (such as your browser/device type, locale, and timestamps) to help reproduce problems, plus standard server logs (request paths, IP-derived metadata, error traces) and product analytics (such as page views and render counts) so we can operate and improve the service.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate REPLAY: to authenticate you, process and render your videos, fetch and display your match results, deliver your downloads and (if you choose) publish to YouTube, run your subscription and credits, send you service and account email, secure the service against abuse, comply with our legal obligations, and diagnose and improve the product.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar local storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers we need to run REPLAY, and only as needed to provide the service: Supabase (authentication and database), Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible object storage for your videos), Stripe (payments), Google / YouTube (sign-in and, if you connect it, video upload), and our hosting provider. PracticeScore is the public source of the competition data we fetch for you. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of REPLAY and its users. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

6. Where your information is stored

REPLAY runs on infrastructure located in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. If you use REPLAY from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Your uploaded files and rendered videos are kept according to your plan:

Free tier — rendered outputs are deleted 30 days after they are created; source uploads (and any music or angle files attached to them) are deleted 90 days after the last render that used them; and the source files of a job that never rendered successfully are removed about 7 days after it fails.

Pro tier — your uploads and rendered videos are kept for as long as your account is active.

Server logs are retained for a limited period (generally up to about 90 days) and then deleted or aggregated. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from our systems, though copies may remain briefly in object storage or backups before they are purged.

8. Your controls and rights

Export. You can download a single JSON file of the data REPLAY stores about your account from the Settings page.

Delete content. You can delete any individual video from your library at any time.

Delete your account. The Danger zone on the Settings page permanently deletes your account and the data we store about you — profile, render history, Creator Studio projects, competition data, and connected accounts. Video files in object storage may take up to about 24 hours to be fully purged by our cleanup process.

Manage billing. You can update your payment method or cancel your subscription anytime from the Stripe customer portal. If you don't want to be billed again, cancel before deleting your account.

Access and corrections. Depending on where you live (for example, residents of the EU/UK or of U.S. states such as California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us — we may need to verify your identity first.

9. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and signed, time-limited links for video access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — please keep your sign-in method safe and keep your own copies of footage you can't replace.

10. Children

REPLAY is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the effective date above.
